OLED 3D ID Cards

It is not just computers, entertainment systems and household gadgets that are increasingly becoming more out of this world, personal identifications cards are too!

At the 2010 CES event in Las Vegas, the new system of recognizing and confirming identities via cards were unveiled.

The new identification card is set to come out later this year and comes with an OLED display screen that allows the public to access vital information with the right technology.

Essentially, the card is just and ordinary ID, with a plastic cover, thin, and really just normal looking.

But when you analyze it in more detail, you begin to see why it was so highly rated at the function.

As soon as the card goes over a specific card reader, an OLED screen comes alive, and gives a 3D view of the face of the card.

It gives a full rotating 360-degree look at the face and head of the card as well as zooming into the eyes of the card holder and other facial features.

Some may find this technology eerie and creepy, but others say it is just the next step in accurate identification.

The only thing that really scares me is that the ID card says “Specimen” on it… This may be just a little bit creepy!

The bottom line is that the new ID technology will ensure there are little identity fraud and operating out of the world… Which should be a good thing!
