Gameboys New Makeover

With all the competition stemming from new video gaming consoles, improving graphics and awesome gameplay on offer, the good old-fashioned Gameboy really has to do something out of left-field to get any attention these days.

And, that is exactly what they have done!

Now, you can pick up you age old favourite hand held console in a ‘Steampunk’ version, which has been modified and adapted to replicate something out of a Mad Max movie.

The designer behind the new product, Thretris, have put the original Gameboy through a torturous process, to get the device looking like it has been turned inside-out.

The new design looks quite hardcore with many gears, springs and wires jutting out all over the place.

While the new design looks like it would have taken months to pull off, the total project took a little over a week to complete.

Despite all of the fancy gears, knobs, screws, wires, ancient fossils and lost gems, it still uses all of the normal buttons, they just happen to be spray painted as well as the rest of the body.

Then extra gears added to the Gameboy also throw in a complete pro-sound audio mode as well as putting in an orange LED light into the device.

In summary, the new Gameboy makeover is actually pretty cool, and may just be what Nintendo needs to increase the struggling sales figures of the once mighty gaming device.
