Secret Door-Knock Detector

Remember the days when you were young and entrance into anyone’s cubby house required a secret knock?

Well, those days might be back in full swing with the latest development in door locking technology.

And, the good news is that it is a lot safer than having an unreliable individual on the other side of the door who could forget the special knock, or just be too lazy to open the door.

The new device ensures that any human error is accounted for by unlocking the door when it detects a certain, specific knock.

To the naked eye, the invention looks like something which has crawled out of a plumbing trade school exhibition, but what it lack in appearance, it makes up for in it innovative thinking and impressive capabilities.

There is a video segment for first time users outlining how you programme, and set up, the locking device for any user, and the safety requirements that come with it.

Some of the complicated parts that come with the knock detecting unlocking device, include a tiny gear reduction motor, a PVC pipe and a piezo speaker.

For those of you that need more than a quick video to figure out the project, there is also an in depth guide on how everything works online, readily available for any user.

The new technology is still a work in progress but is sure to be improved on in the bear future.
